The Messages Window

The Messages Window |
The messages window contains notifications of events that happen as you use Aspect. There are three types of notifications:
- Information, such as the total number of images Aspect was able to import during an Import Images operation.
- Warning, such as the result of an integrity check (the image above illustrates this).
- Error, often the result of an integrity check or any other problem Aspect needs to notify you about.
For many of the messages, you can double-click on the message and Aspect will take you directly to the source of the issue. This is extremely helpful in the case of things like integrity checks so you don't have to hunt through all of your data to find the source of a problem.

You can right-click in the messages window to get a popup menu that allows you to clear all the messages in the window. |

The messages window normally shows and hides itself as needed, and you can always show it by clicking on the word Messages in the lower-left portion of the main Aspect window. However, the Messages Window can also be "pinned" to the main window so that it always shows. You can toggle between pinned and not pinned by clicking the pin icon in the upper-right corner of the messages window. |

The messages window can be vertically resized by grabbing the top border of the window with the mouse and dragging it up or down. |
